Goodbye to King and Who families

Beverly King was going to be my Legacy Challenge Sim. All Sims born into the family would have names of famous Stephen King characters. Unfortunately due to a bad save, Beverly didn't get much out of life before she was terminated (such is the life of some Stephen King characters, I guess). She lived long enough to have a love interest in a man named Christopher Steele, get engaged and get a promotion. Her last known words were "The tavern is fun."

Goodbye Beverly King. I miss your red hair.

My Who family was all planned out. I would start with my Founder (named Doctor, of course) and his first house was modeled after the first T.A.R.D.I.S. I looked up all the names of the Doctor's companions and all Sims born into the family would bear their names. After each new generation was born I would redecorate the house to look like the next generation T.A.R.D.I.S. I got to play with Doctor Who quite a bit, and there are some memorable memes (that you can find on AmeYACe's Sims twitter feed). I don't think I laughed more than I did with the Doctor and his antics.

He often traveled to the future and helped out with things there. He never got to travel to the past with me, unfortunately (or maybe fortunately, since sometimes Sims would come back from the past with a kid!!!). He fell head over heals in love with a local named Lorraine. He proposed to her in a scenic park on the night of the first snow of winter. They married during a snowstorm at the place of their first date during the full moon. He held jobs both in the future and in the present.

I will miss him too much. I may attempt to recreate this wonderful Sim when I get my computer back and Sims reinstalled.

See you around Doctor Who.

A Time-Out to say Goodbye: the BiKnight family

We will soon return to your previously scheduled Apocalypse Challenge/aka "Walker" blog, but I had to delete my computer and I have to say goodbye to some of my Sim families. I love them all, but I'll freely admit I had too many.

Today we will be saying goodbye to the BiKnight family.

Nivene started it all by moving onto a property all by herself and building her house literally from nothing. She got a job in the music career and ended up meeting and marrying Dwayne, who was in Politics. Dwayne ended up leaving a family to be with Niv, and he brought a dog named Roofus into the relationship also. Dwayne and Niv eventually brought their first child, a daughter named Pantech into the world. This was about the time that Niv realized Dwayne was actually a werewolf, and once a month he became very interesting (he was quite boring the rest of the time). Dwayne ended up doing most of Pantech's care, since Niv actually didn't like children very much.

Soon after getting a brother, Warp, Pantech realized she was only happy when she was digging holes or tearing up furniture, and Dwayne admitted she was probably a werewolf, too.

Dwayne got fired after his boss found out he had been stealing from the political funds. Pantech was a teenager then, and making lots of new werewolf friends.

Suddenly Niv found out she was pregnant again. She brought Chain, a son, into the world. Dwayne got his job back and he promised to be more honest and responsible this time around.

Niv soon thought about retiring from the music career and concentrating on her own unrealized passion: Horses. She soon bought an old mare named DeeDee and began training her to race and jump.

The little family had a really long, really cold, and REALLY snowy winter. It snowed for fifteen (Sim) days STRAIGHT!  Pantech began breaking curfew and once was even brought home by the cops for being out after hours.

Just when the long, long, LONG winter reluctantly turned to spring, Dwayne died of old age. The entire family was wrecked after this sad loss, even the hourse DeeDee took it hard. They decided to bury him on their home lot.

Nivene BiKnight was just thinking about putting Pantech in charge of the household so she could devote her entire life to her horses, when my computer died and I had to say goodbye to this lovely and interesting family.

Thank you for your time today.

(I don't even have photos I can share cuz of the computer being gone!!!)
