Dear Diary:
How did I get here, you ask? Well...remember when we saw reports of scary, menacing clowns all over the country? We thought they were rumors. Maybe they were at first, but every idiot in every town thought in their idiot brains that it would be funny to dress up as evil clowns and terrorize their neighborhoods. I never thought it would happen in MY town, but I guess my town is not as idiot-free as I thought.
I was walking home from the store right after it closed for the night when a clown jumped in front of me and screamed in my face. Instinctively I swung my purse around and bashed the clown in the face. It crumpled to the ground howling and I ran all the way home. Within half an hour the cops were at my house.
The clown as apparently a 15 year-old kid and his mom, who happens to be a former Landgraab and a pretty influential person on the city council, was pressing charges.
I didn't go to jail but I did get fired from my job and when court time came around said I shouldn't be held responsible for defending myself. I went on a tirade against ALL clowns and how they should all be arrested. Well they should!
Unfortunately I didn't know the judge's grandfather used to volunteer as a clown for the children's hospital.
So I was forced to stay here at the Will Simone House, Sunset Valley's old crappy house-turned old crappy asylum. I have to stay here until I can prove that I'm "fit to rejoin society." Whatever that means.
I have to share a room with three other women! In ONE room! This sucks.
Even worse...there's no supervisor or doctor or anything! It is just me and these seven other people! What the heck!
There's not enough beds for everyone so we have to share. There's no cleaning service or cooks so my parole officer told me I was in charge of all that. According to Jevon, one of the lovely gentlemen living here, the budget cutbacks have been so outrageous that they can't hire ANYONE!
(He also told me he's the next daVinci).
Well I can cook a LITTLE...and I can certainly clean, so I made a deal with the Landgraabs. I'll stay for a while and if I can prove that I can take care of the house and the residents, they'll let me out.
So it looks like I'm stuck here for a while.
I'll write again soon,
~Kate
