The Red Family

One of my first families when I first installed Sims was a family I modeled after my middle son. I named him Zander ~ a nickname I call my son, and I gave him a quirky wife that looked a little like his girlfriend at the time, and I named her Emily. Emily was SO quirky that when she was attacked by zombies (after I installed Supernatural) she just laughed at them and exclaimed over how cute they were. She was an artistic Sim that couldn't decide what medium to become a master in, so she did them all. Scultping, Inventing, Painting....she did everything. Zander became a five-star chef and was sent all around the world to learn different recipes.

Zander and Emily had their first son and named him after my oldest son's (stepson) nickname. They called him Tank. Tank was born smack dab in the middle of fall (Seasons).  Their second son they named Edward and he was born in the middle of a tornado.

On one of their trips to France, Zander thought he'd be romantic and start a fire in the fireplace. For some reason the fire blew out of control and nearly burned down their hotel, and out of sheer embarrassment Zander bought plane tickets and they went home early.

They came home to find their baby alone, on the ground outside in the rain!! They were very angry with the babysitter, but he still got his money.

One Easter their oldest, Tank, had to search for eggs in the rain.

When Emily got pregnant again she was REALLY hoping, after two boys, to have a little girl. When she went through her "nesting" period she added another floor to her house with a new bedroom just for the boys and bought them a bunk bed and put another bathroom up there.

When it was time for the baby to come, she got another boy. She thought, "I cannot GET a baby girl!!" but she was very happy with the new baby and she named him Howard. He was born on a rainy first day of summer.

They went to Egypt but again came home early because they missed their boys and they had severe trust issues with the babysitters after what happened to Edward.

The last time they travelled, they ran into a mummy, and the mummy was flat-out hitting on Zander. Emily thought it was HILLARIOUS but it made Zander so sick to his stomach he ran out of the tomb and puked.

I guess Emily will never get her baby girl because alas, it is time to say good-bye. We had fond, FOND memories of the Red family, but they are one that I will not recreate, because it's a little weird to model a life after one of your kids when they are themselves nearing adulthood in Real Life.
